All types rely on an internal spring in order to maintain a seal so that you have boost pressure when it is needed - If the spring is too weak, you lose power.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePreviously, when an engine was \"chipped\" or the boost pressure increased, the tuner would need to fit a stronger spring, carefully matched to the increased boost. More recently, with the introduction of electric valves, a tuner would fit an aftermarket replacement valve driven by pressure with an uprated spring. All these remedies rely on the careful matching of the spring rate to the turbocharger boost. This would need to be done each time there was a software, and in some cases hardware change.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor those running switchable software programs, there was no perfect solution and a compromise spring was normally installed, which would often not perform correctly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eForge are pleased to offer a fit and forget solution. No more changing springs, turning adjusters, or fine tuning. This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for, or slightly above factory boost levels. Both of these materials, but especially the rubber is prone to failure. The rubber can stiffen and go brittle due to the heat from the engine, resulting in the diaphragm splitting and boost leak.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOur valve uses full billet alloy construction with a piston based internal design, meaning the issues with the OEM can never happen with ours!\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eTo give you even more peace of mind, we made the internals of our valve serviceable. We recommend doing these every 3 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, if you don’t want to service your valve yourself you can order the kit and ship your valve back to us and we will carry out the service free of charge!
