Sound

The Slip-On Line transforms the auditory experience of the BMW M2 Competition, delivering a distinctive sporty tone that accentuates the car’s dynamic character. At cruising speeds, the system emits a refined, balanced note, while under acceleration, it produces a deeper, more aggressive growl, particularly in the mid-to-upper rpm range. Thanks to Akrapovič’s engineering precision, the system avoids any intrusive droning, ensuring comfort during everyday driving.

Performance

The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) optimises performance by reducing back pressure and improving exhaust flow, allowing the M2 Competition’s engine to breathe more efficiently. This translates into sharper throttle response, improved acceleration, and an overall more engaging driving experience. Dyno testing confirms a power increase of +4.9 hp at 5,100 rpm and +4.4 ft-lb of torque at 5,150 rpm. With a substantial weight reduction of 10.2 kg—47.9% lighter than the stock exhaust—the system also enhances agility and handling, making the M2 Competition even more dynamic on the road and track.

The Slip-On Line showcases Akrapovič’s dedication to quality and innovation. Constructed entirely from titanium, the system features components like valve housings and collectors, meticulously crafted in their in-house titanium foundry. The exhaust is finished with dual carbon-fibre tailpipes, adding a sleek and aggressive aesthetic to the M2’s rear profile. Optional rear diffusers in matte or high-gloss carbon fibre further elevate the car’s visual appeal, perfectly complementing the Slip-On Line’s performance-focused design.
