The MMX intake resonator delete pipe is engineered for the B48A20T1, the highest-output variant of BMW's B48 platform, fitted to the MINI JCW GP3 and BMW M135i. The factory intake system prioritises cabin acoustic isolation over airflow efficiency; this pipe addresses that trade-off directly, replacing the OE resonator and its turbulent plastic bellows with a smooth-bore 83mm aluminium airway.

The increase in bore diameter reduces turbulence and lowers the pressure-drop between airbox and turbocharger. On an engine already producing in excess of 300bhp from 2.0 litres, intake restriction has a measurable effect on throttle response and boost delivery. Removing that restriction improves both, along with a reduction in turbo lag across the rev range.

Deleting the OE resonator also removes the acoustic damping built into the factory pipework, allowing induction and turbocharger noise through to a degree the standard system is specifically designed to suppress.

Construction is mandrel-bent aluminium, TIG-welded, retaining all factory take-off points for a direct like-for-like installation using the existing connections. No cutting, splicing, or ECU remapping is required. The finish is a durable crackle coat with a laser-etched MMX badge.
