Following on from the hugely successful F40 platform M135i, the F70 generation promises to build on that success with a very similar layout, 2.0 B48 engine, xDrive and around 300bhp.
Whilst styling is subjective the previous 1 series was never what you'd call a 'looker'. The F70 generation whilst not looking massively different brings a more attractive car all round and a fantastic entry point into the performance BMW family.
