The 4.0-litre MDG.GA engine powering the 718 GT4 RS and Spyder RS is strictly naturally aspirated, revving to a staggering 9,000 rpm. Consequently, forced induction hardware such as turbochargers, intercoolers, and blow-off valves are not applicable to this chassis. Performance tuning for these vehicles is entirely dependent on optimising mechanical breathing and reducing exhaust backpressure.
