The Volkswagen Polo GTI Mk6 (2017-present) brought the formidable 2.0-litre engine to the compact MQB A0 chassis. The production run spans two distinct technical generations. Pre-facelift AW models (2018-2021) utilise the 200 PS EA888.3B engine, while the facelift AE models (2021-onwards) upgrade to the 207 PS EA888.4 Evo4 unit featuring a different turbocharger and intake architecture. Both deliver serious hot hatch performance, paired with rapidly shifting DSG transmissions.
