The 4.0-litre flat-six provides an incredibly robust foundation derived directly from Porsche motorsport, but building a dedicated competition power plant demands upgraded internal components. Strengthening the rotating assembly with Forged Pistons and Forged Connecting Rods provides the structural integrity required to withstand high cylinder pressures and sustained high-rpm operation. Securing these components requires Uprated Engine Bolts (ARP) alongside low-friction Performance Bearings (Conrod & Mains). For engine builders optimising volumetric efficiency, Performance Camshafts alter valve timing for maximum top-end breathing.
