In 2014 Audi finally gave us the car we'd all been waiting for, their smallest model gained an S badge! The S1 came equipped with a manual gearbox, the infamous EA888 engine, Quattro all wheel drive and over 220bhp, all wrapped up in the tiny A1 package.

At the time there was simply nothing else like it on the road, nobody else was combining an all wheel drive system in such a small but powerful package and it therefore gained a cult following. Even to this day the only modern car to share this specification is the immensely successful GR Yaris!
