Sound
Two titanium exhaust valves, cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry, work with the stainless-steel link pipe to tailor the exhaust tone based on driving mode. In comfort mode, the system delivers a smooth, refined tone suitable for daily use. Dynamic mode unleashes a bold, aggressive sound that showcases the RS 3’s five-cylinder engine. At higher revs, the exhaust produces a sharp, race-inspired note, all without droning, ensuring comfort and usability in all conditions.
Performance
The Evolution Line (Titanium) reduces back pressure and enhances exhaust flow, unlocking the full potential of Audi's renowned five-cylinder engine. This system delivers sharper throttle response, stronger acceleration, and a more dynamic driving experience. Akrapovič’s dyno testing confirms measurable improvements, including gains of +10.2 hp at 5,450 rpm and +12.0 ft-lb of torque at 2,800 rpm compared to the stock exhaust. Additionally, the system’s 8.3 kg weight reduction—making it 36.2% lighter than the factory setup—enhances agility, handling, and overall responsiveness, ensuring a more engaging and performance-oriented drive.
Design
Constructed from high-grade titanium with precision-engineered components, the system is as visually impressive as it is functional. The handcrafted carbon-fibre tailpipes with titanium inner sleeves add a distinctive and premium look. The optional high-gloss carbon-fibre rear diffuser complements the system, enhancing the RS 3’s aggressive design and road presence. Akrapovič’s engineering ensures the system integrates seamlessly with the vehicle for a perfect fit and finish.
