Cobra Sport VW Polo GTI (6C) 1.8 TSI (15-17) Cat Back Performance Exhaust

This VW Polo GTI 1.8 TSI cat back performance exhaust is made in 2.5" / 63.5mm pipework and fits from the front pipe / catalyst backwards (Cat-back system) these exhausts replace the front box, centre and rear sections.

The resonated sports exhaust includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This part is also available as a non-resonated version which is a louder option as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note.

All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied.

The latest vehicle to pass through the Cobra Sport exhaust development process is the MK6 VW Polo GTI 1.8 TSI. Having previously achieved impressive results from the previous 1.4 Polo GTI we were keen to get the new 1.8 litre model in for development to create a new range of Cobra Sport performance exhausts.

The larger 1.8 litre engine in the new Polo GTI produces 190bhp as standard matched with an impressive 236 lb-ft of torque giving the lightweight Polo impressive performance figures on paper whilst creating an exhilarating drive.

The Cobra Sport team were able to reduce the weight of the exhaust system by an impressive 41% over the OEM system with the resonated 2.5" cat back system weighing in at only 9.52kg compared to the original 16.20kg. The de-cat and sports cat front pipes have been enlarged to 3" bore and offer a weight saving of 0.60kg.

The new systems benefit from all of the usual Cobra Sport refinements with mandrel bent, TIG welded, grade 304 stainless steel used throughout the systems as standard. You can therefore be assured of only the best quality in a Cobra Sport system.

The styling of the system is finished off with a choice of twin 3" and 3.25" tailpipes in a highly polished T304 stainless steel finish. These options include a less obtrusive oval slash cut version which further compliments the VW Polo GTI aesthetics.
