Unlock the full potential of your BMW MINI’s F66 B48 engine with FMINLH27, Forge Motorsports high-flow inlet pipe performance upgrade. Designed to eliminate the restrictive factory inlet, this upgrade significantly improves airflow to the turbocharger, allowing your engine to breathe more freely and respond faster under throttle. Constructed from high-quality 5 ply silicone and stainless-steel reinforced wire for durability and heat resistance, the high-flow inlet pipe features smooth inlet track. The result is improved turbo spool, sharper throttle response, and increased power especially noticeable on tuned or modified vehicles.
This inlet pipe is a direct bolt-on replacement for the OEM unit, requiring no permanent modifications and ensuring a precise, factory-quality fit. Whether you’re chasing maximum performance on track days or simply want a more engaging driving experience on the road, this upgrade delivers measurable gains and enhanced engine sound under load.
FMINLH27 can be used with the OE airbox or aftermarket induction kit’s like Forge Motorsports carbon solution FMINDK61, so it’s a product to suit all preferences.

Material choice and increase flow
During development testing, we found that using oversized aluminium piping led to significant heat soak. While initial power gains were impressive, repeated dyno testing revealed a drawback: by the third pull, the aluminium pipe had absorbed and conducted excessive heat, resulting in a noticeable reduction in performance.
By switching to a silicone hose design, this issue was eliminated. Silicone does not store or conduct heat as effectively as aluminium, preventing heat soak. Even after six consecutive dyno pulls, the silicone hose maintained a stable temperature and showed no reduction in power output.
The Forge Motorsport high-flow inlet hose improves your vehicle’s airflow in several key ways. First, we eliminate the internal muffler found in the OE pipework. While this component is designed to reduce intake noise and create a more refined engine note, it also introduces turbulence and restricts airflow. These restrictions become even more apparent on tuned vehicles and are often the first area our engineers target for improvement.
With the factory limitations removed, the next step is increasing the internal diameter of the Forge design. A larger bore allows a greater volume of air to flow directly into the turbocharger, enabling more air to be compressed thanks to the increased capacity. This results in improved throttle response, particularly when accelerating after long periods of deceleration or during gear changes, as more air is retained within the intake system.
Not only does FMINLH27 deliver enhanced performance, but it is also engineered for exceptional durability. As previously mentioned, it is manufactured from our high-performance silicone featuring a reinforced 5-ply construction combined with an advanced fluoro lining for superior reliability.
The inner fluoro lining offers outstanding resistance to oil, fuel vapours, coolants, and chemical degradation, effectively preventing permeation and significantly extending service life. Additionally, due to the increased length and internal volume, integrated metal strengthening rings are moulded within the silicone to prevent collapse under load—an issue commonly found in inferior products.

Forge Motorsport manufactures its precision-machined couplers from 6082 aerospace-grade aluminium, engineered to exact tolerances for an uncompromising, perfect fit.
Dyno Results
Testing was completed using Performance Remap in Gloucester with their VTEC 4-wheel drive dynamometer. This was to ensure all our data has been achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. As you can see from the dyno results below, peak power was increased from stock by nearly 8 BHP of wheel power when mated to the OEM airbox and standard factory filter.
The best news is that there are significant gains across the entire rev range, meaning that the car will pick up quicker and pull the whole way through to redline as FMINLH27 also benefits from a 10NM of torque gain between 4000 RPM all the way to the redline. This is right as the power comes in and can really change the feel and power delivery when behind the wheel.
The benefits can be further increased with ECU re calibration or a performance tuning module, this allows increased potential to be extracted from your performance hardware by unlocking conservative factory settings, optimising combustion, and allowing the engine to operate closer to its true potential.
The Forge intake system for the Mini F66 is modular It connects to the factory airbox, and provides substantial gains, however for those looking for the complete system can combine FMINLH27 with our carbon fibre induction kit FMINDK61.
