Stage 1 tuning for Toyota:

Stage 1 ECU tuning is a fairly typical, run of the mill procedure with Toyota's, following the same recipe as most other manufacturers.

  • Panel filter or induction kit upgrade
  • Cat-Back or GPF back upgrade
  • Stage 1 ECU Tune - *Please note some vehicles such as the GR Yaris require aftermarket ECUs to correctly run tunes
  • Intercooler upgade optional

Stage 2 tuning for Toyota:

Stage 2 ECU tuning consists of downpipe changes for the likes of the A90 Supra and GR Yaris, whereas the GR86 follows a different path:

  • Intercooler upgrade (if applicable)
  • Downpipe upgrade
  • Manifold/Headers (GR86)
  • GPF/OPF removal (GR Yaris)
  • Plus, Stage 1 ECU tuning as above
  • TCU tune (for ZF8 equipped models A90 Supra)

Stage 3 tuning for Toyota:

At Stage 3, the horizon starts to blur a little, as requirements per vehicle differ on an extraordinary basis for Toyota, a guide is as follows:

  • Forced Induction (GR86)
  • Hybrid, or full-frame turbo (GR Yaris and GR Supra)
  • Fuelling upgrades, such as 1100cc injectors for GR Yaris applications or HPFP upgrades for the A90 Supra
  • Engine re-inforcement/forging (Pistons, rods, bearings, head gaskets, main studs, head studs etc.)

*Please check with your individual tuner as to the specific parts needed for YOUR car, each car is individual, this tuning guide is a guideline, and indicative only.
