Released in 2015, Honda brought something completely new to the table with the 9th generation of Civic Type R, turbocharging! Gone was the high revving N/A motors of previous Civics, however with another 100bhp and 200nm over the previous model, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

The all new K20C1 motor gives the 'FK2' an old school turbo punch low down in the rev range but has enough legs to keep pulling all the way to the 7000rpm redline. It's that good that it later powered both FK8 and FL5 Civic Type Rs with very few mechanical differences.
