After Audi made the decision to downsize the engine for the B8 S4/S5, they needed to make sure the new models impressed, and that they did. The B8 S4/S5 featured a 3.0 TFSI engine paired with an Eaton mechanical supercharger.
In early 2012 the S4/S5 received a facelift, now known as the B8.5. Featuring a new front end, new headlights and an upgraded infotainment system. Mechanically speaking, the B8.5 received upgraded electromagnetic steering and a lighter crown gear center differential.
