Designed for vehicles without factory electronically controlled dampers, the KW DDC ECU system allows adaptive damping to be retrofitted using a dedicated KW control unit, vehicle specific wiring harness and cockpit mounted DDC button.

At the touch of a button, you can switch between Comfort, Sport and Sport+, allowing the suspension characteristics to be adapted to different driving conditions without manually adjusting individual dampers.

The KW DDC ECU provides three damping programmes that can be selected directly from the vehicle using the supplied KW DDC button:

• Comfort – prioritises a more compliant and comfortable driving experience
• Sport – provides a more controlled and dynamic suspension setup
• Sport+ – provides the most performance focused damping characteristics

The system allows the driver to change the suspension setup from inside the cockpit, eliminating the need to manually adjust conventional damper controls every time the driving conditions change.

This gives the DDC ECU a significant advantage for vehicles that need to combine everyday comfort with sharper performance driving.For additional convenience, the KW DDC ECU can be upgraded with the optional KW WLAN module.

Once equipped, the suspension setup can also be selected using the KW DDC App on a compatible smartphone. The system supports Apple iOS devices and numerous Android devices, providing an additional way to control the electronically adjustable damping.

This makes it possible to change the suspension characteristics without having to rely solely on the physical DDC button installed inside the vehicle.

Unlike a conventional electronically adjustable damper upgrade, the KW DDC ECU is a complete height adjustable coilover system.

The ride height can be continuously adjusted within the vehicle specific approved range, allowing you to achieve the desired stance while maintaining the suspension characteristics engineered for the individual application.

The DDC ECU coilovers feature KW's Inox-Line stainless steel damper housings, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability.

The stainless steel construction is particularly important for road going vehicles that are exposed to moisture, road salt and other contaminants throughout the year.

KW also uses polyamide composite spring seats and stainless steel components within the adjustment system to help maintain reliable height adjustment over time.

Like other KW coilover systems, the DDC ECU is developed around the individual vehicle application rather than using a generic damping configuration.
